Meet the Board:
President:
Don Gauthreaux
Don and Monica Gauthreaux have been homeschooling for twelve years.
Their four children are: Jesse, 18 (graduated); Corey,
15; Aubree, 13; and Donte', 5. Although this is their first year serving as President,
the Gauthreauxs have
faithfully handled the position of Treasurer /
Membership for six years. The curricula of choice for
the "Gauxs" are A.C.E. and A-Beka.
Vice
President / Public Relations:
Derek Dake
Derek and Kim Dake have 5 children: Hannah, 16;
Sarah, 14; Leah, 12; James, 9; and Josiah, 7. They have
been home educating for 11 years and are currently using
A.C.E. and Rod and Staff curricula. The
Dakes have served on the CHEF of Lafayette board for 5
years.

BECOMING
A BOARD MEMBER
The
only requirement is to be a homeschooler, a member of CHEF
of Lafayette, and a willing spirit to serve other
homeschoolers in the area. The board meets once each month
(see calendar for meeting
schedule). This is where your voice and input can make a
difference.
